As a food reviewer at Menu Buzz, I highly recommend making the trip to Imperial Taste. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, you’ll soon discover why so many have declared it the best Chinese food in the area. With outstanding flavors, consistency, and a menu brimming with choices, Imperial Taste is more than just a restaurant; it's an experience waiting to delight your taste buds.
“ This is the first time I’ve ordered general tso chicken and it was hot, still crispy, and tasty. In addition, the veggie fried rice was fresh real individual grains—not a questionable mush. All for an affordable price. I forgot to mention that this is the only place in this area that does lo mein and chicken wings as a meal so that’s another plus. I hope this is their normal standard and pricing, I will make this my new regular Chinese food place. ”
“ I haven’t been able to find a consistently good Chinese spot after my local one closed down but then I started going here and I find myself wanting Chinese food like once a week now. I usually get the shrimp and broccoli and chicken wings but I’ve had other food before. They also deliver to my apartment which is great. ”
“ Surprisingly good chinese food for my first time coming here, I ordered a lo mein combo and was amazed by how good both the fried rice and lo mein was. Will order from here the next time I’m around the area for work! ”
“ Clean , fast , and delicious ! ”
“ Best Chinese takeout I’ve ever had. We drive 40 minutes for it. The general tso’s, fried chicken wings, and beef lo mein are fantastic. ”

“ Hands down the best Chinese food in queens! We been ordering from imperial for a long time, it hits the spot every single time. They’re very consistent. The lady in the front is an acquired taste. She does her job well though! ”
“ Have been going to this Chinese spot since 2008. Recently changed management post covid. Fortunately they kept the cooks and food tastes exactly the same. Hands down my favorite Chinese spot in NYC. In my 15 years of going to this spot, the must haves are: 1) Fried Chicken Wings with Pork Fried Rice 2) Chicken with Garlic Sauce 3) Singapore Rice noodles 4) General Tso's Chicken ”
